We're running funded 2-week and 3-week accredited training courses to give people the skills, confidence and industry-recognised qualifications to begin their journey towards a fulfilling career in Civils or Fibre in the ever-growing Fibre industry. Civils vs Fibre - What's the difference?
Trainee Civil Engineer
You will play a key role in helping CityFibre to achieve our mission of delivering full fibre to up to 8 million premises across the UK. Working in a team, you could be responsible for excavating and/or reinstating in the highways to install new duct work and chambers which houses our fibre, whichever you prefer we’ve got the right role for you.
Trainee Fibre Engineer - Underground and/or Overhead Cabling
You will play a key role in helping CityFibre to achieve our mission of delivering full fibre to up to 8 million premises across the UK. You will be responsible for delivering fibre installation on existing and new build networks to specific customer specifications, this will include external and internal work. Whether you prefer working at height or underground, we’ve got the role for you.
This is a 2-week training course split out over a period of two separate week blocks. The first week of training will be delivered to assist you with your entry into the telecoms/fibre industry. The second week of training will be delivered upon a work placement or job offer with a CityFibre Build Partner.
This is a 4-week training course split out over a period of two separate blocks. The first block of 2 weeks of training will be delivered to assist you with your entry into the telecoms/fibre industry. The following 1 week block of training will be delivered upon a work placement or job offer with a CityFibre Build Partner.
Please note, these courses are an unpaid, free of charge offering from CityFibre and you must be able to commit to attending the full initial training block and be open to job opportunities with Build Partners working on the CityFibre network. We require all candidates who attend training to have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle throughout the duration of the course.
