Work to bring full fibre connectivity is now underway in Plymouth! This is part of a £52m private investment from CityFibre to unlock full fibre connectivity to homes (ftth), allowing Plymouth residents to access entertainment at lightning speeds and giving people the freedom to work from home with ease.
Economic research shows the longer-term impact to Plymouth with up to £83m added to the value of homes, £52 million in Smart City initiatives as well as further benefits to business productivity and innovation.
Construction work started in Plymouth’s Estover area, this will then expand to the rest of the city in the next 3 to 4 years.
