What is build the network?
We are the recruitment campaign providers for CityFibre’s network build project. Build the Network is powered by CityFibre, owned, and operated by Carbon60. All our roles are working on CityFibre’s network build project, employed by their Build Partners who are delivering the project in local communities around Britain. The project is estimated to reach 8 million premises, including 285 towns in cities across the UK.
Estimates suggest this will generate up to 10,000 network construction jobs. We placed over 400 people with CityFibre’s build partners around the UK last year.
What is the application process?
The application process typically begins when you submit your application for a specific job on our live job portal. Our recruitment team will review your application, based on your qualifications and suitability. If your CV passes their screening, they will call you to find out more about your skills and experience and to share more details about the role. Once you are submitted to the client you may be invited for an interview, this will likely be in person at their offices or build site. For some roles there may be a second stage or trial.
Following these assessments, the successful candidate will be offered the position.
What should I expect from a fibre/telecoms interview process?
The initial process will be a phone call with the corresponding recruitment expert, to discuss the role further, double check your details and make sure you are suitable for the role and the build partner. After the initial call, if the recruiter thinks you are good match, you will be put through for an interview with the build partner which can vary, as this can be face-face or online over Microsoft Teams, depending on the role. Also, the stages of the interview can vary, this is all up to the build partner’s requirements of the suitable candidate for the role!
Can I work remotely?
No. All our roles require you to be on-site and in-person. There may be the occasional exception for some office-based roles, but this will be determined by the build partner.
